Judy Redman

If mission is about encouraging people to become disciples of Christ (as opposed to encouraging people to come to activities that our church organises), then Christian education is vital. Most Uniting Church people are deeply worried about traditional evangelism tools, and with good reason - by and large they don't address the God-questions people ask. However, your other option (which I would argue is far more effective anyway) is to actually answer the God-questions that people are asking. Unless you happen to find someone who is asking exactly the same God-questions that you asked and had answered when you became a disciple, then you need to be educated so that you can help other people to find answers to *their* questions.

In other words, I think I am agreeing wholeheartedly with you.
