i made up this recipe as a snack to take to the concert the other night, and have already been asked for a repeat performance. it went something like this (i wasn't taking notes....)
Mix the following into balls, coat in flour and fry, or in sesame seeds and bake in a hot oven for 20 mins.
1 cup sushi rice - cooked
1 kg pumpkin - just cooked and mashed (i overcooked mine which made it all a bit sludgy
1 red capsicum chopped finely
1-2 tsp coriander powder
1-2 tsp cumin powder
2 tsp turmeric
1 tsp paprika
1-2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp chili powder - or more if you like
1 tsp sea salt
zest of 1 orange
1 egg, lightly beaten
If it's a bit wet, add breadcrumbs or some flour.
Lovely dipped in sweet chilli sauce. Eat hot or cold.
