indeed i do believe that baptism is central to the understanding of Christian identity, BUT I'M TALKING ABOUT TYPEFACES! You can never have too many fonts, although you CAN EASILY use too many fonts. they're a lot like spices. actually, forget that. more like vegetables. anyway, today i've rediscovered an old friend "Good Dog" from fonthead design.
way back in the 90's i had a bunch of quirky fonts, some of which havent made it into forms that i can use now. (hmm... i had a font conversion program too...) apart from the hand-drawn look of Good Dog, i really liked the little pics in Good Dog Bones. i remember working on a proposal for funding for a pilot project for temporary transition accommodation for young people by churches and using Good Dog and its icons for the logo.
so its was nice today when i wanted to use some of those type pics/icons for a placement that i'm making for Alive@5 this Sunday to discover that there's a new, free version of the original Good Dog font over at fonthead. visiting the website also reminded me that they have great value font bundles, including some of my favourites - Allise, Bad Dog, Black Beard, Blue Moon, Hot Coffee, John Doe, Carnation, Croissant, Gritzpop, Holy Cow, Noel, Sorority Hack, Wash Me, ...
no I have never used them all in the one poster...
if you're interested in little pics/icons in fonts see my post that mentioned the excellent Speed Bump.
hmmm..... perhaps....
